Wrapped up 2015 with Lizi and Nate's e-session in the Loop, and it was a fun (albeit chilly!) afternoon spent laughing, drinking good coffee, and eating hotdogs.
I've known Lizi since freshman year of high school (over ten years ago, gah), and she was one of my best friends all throughout some of the most awkward years of my life. (I know what you're thinking-- Arielle? Awkward? I never would have guessed.) We went our separate ways in college, but have been fortunate enough to reconnect over the past several months. I was so, so excited when she asked me if I would shoot her and Nate's wedding, because there is honestly nothing as fun as working with clients that are your friends and family. You're instantly comfortable, and it makes it easier to do things like laugh at Arielle when she almost slips on ice in the middle of your engagement session.
We started out our afternoon at Union Station, and made our way towards Millennium Park; with the much needed pit stop at one of my favorite hidden gems in the Loop, Asado Coffee at Pickwick Lane. We finished the shoot on the Mag Mile, and warmed our hands with some hot dogs at Billy Goat Tavern. Here are a few of my favorites-- cannot wait to shoot their wedding under the stars in Pepin, WI, later this year!
