Hi, I’m Arielle!

I’m a wedding and portrait photographer based in Chicago, and I’ve been traveling the globe to document life and love since 2015. I believe in being authentic and real with each and every person that steps in front of my camera, and the images you’re about to see is reflective of that. The wedding industry is seemingly full of vendors trying to advertise themselves as being the most bubbly, love-loving people you’ll ever meet; and I am here to provide you with a much more genuine, fun experience. I don’t do cheesy or cookie cutter. I love natural light and making you laugh. I am pretty laid back and easy going, and I make it my job to reduce any anxiety or stress you may feel about having your photos taken.

If you couldn’t already tell, that girl with the curly hair and camera in hand is me. I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, and I left a job in orthopaedics in 2015 to pursue photography full time. I love to travel and immerse myself in cultures different from my own. I love the ocean. I love to bake cinnamon rolls from scratch on a Sunday morning. I love sunrises and sunsets, and posting photos of clouds to my Instagram. I love to competitively powerlift. And I love taking photos.

I’ve been snapping photos and documenting moments around me since I was a child. I used my mom’s 35mm whenever I could, and asked for my first digital camera when I was ten years old. My passion for this art started to develop when I was a senior in college, and I haven’t looked back since. When I’m not photographing weddings, I’m photographing my friends, food, the streets of Chicago, or shooting charity projects abroad.

I have worked incredibly hard over the last seven years to perfect my craft as a visual story teller, and I pride myself in creating timeless images for you to hold on to long after you say “I do.” Your story through my lens. Genuine love and laughter; rain or shine, a church or your parent’s backyard.

Take a look around, scroll through my blog, and get in touch to ask any questions you may have. I will be honest and transparent with you always.
