The wedding industry is full of vendors advertising themselves as being the most bubbly, love-loving people you’ll ever meet; and while that works for some people, it doesn’t work for me. Let’s get personal and real. I’m here to provide you with a much more genuine and fun photography experience. I don’t do cheesy or cookie cutter. I don’t get in the way. I love candids and making you laugh, but can also pose you in an effortless, natural way. I don’t follow trends, and I make it my job to reduce any anxiety or stress you may feel about having your photos taken.
Here’s a little bit about me: I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2013. My degree in Kinesiology, and I left a job in orthopedics four years ago to run my business full time. I love to travel and immerse myself in cultures different from my own, but as I grow older I’m learning that I’d take a beach and absolutely nothing to do over a busy city any day. I love to bake cinnamon rolls from scratch on a Sunday morning (because I’m a control freak in the kitchen and kneading dough is a stress reliever.) I also have a terrible sweet tooth. I love sunrises and sunsets, and posting photos of clouds to my Instagram— I always catch my boyfriend smiling at me when I stop while we’re walking somewhere to look up at the sky. I love to competitively powerlift, and when I’m not working you can find me in the gym putting lots of weight on my back.
I have worked incredibly hard to perfect my craft as a visual story teller, and I pride myself in creating timeless images for you to hold on to long after you say “I do.” I want to tell your story through my lens: real moments without frills.
Need a boutonniere pinned? I’m a pro. A dress zipped? I got you. I am that extra set of hands throughout the day, and I work in a very chill, laid back style and am easy to be around. I am good at reading a room and the people in it, and this helps me blend in as I work to seamlessly photograph your day.
In order to get those epic veil shots, we’re going to do a little bit of posing. If you don’t want ‘em? It’s not a problem. Making sure you feel comfortable and it’s reflective in your images is my top priority, and I will never make something look forced or unnatural. I never want my clients to feel like anything other than their truest selves in front of my camera. If you’re shy, or if your partner hates having their photo taken, let me know! We’ll keep it casual, have fun, and create some beautiful memories you’ll be able to look back on and instantly feel like it’s your wedding day all over again.
